Camouflage
Camouflage bedding has been a popular bedding pattern for kids and adults for years. With designers recognizing that the pattern is here to stay, updated designs include a variety of colors, with blues and pinks being added to the color palette.
The theme began years ago with the creation of army camouflage bedding, designed to cover soldiers while they slept, hiding them from the enemy. The colors were basic and remained so for years. When in the more lush tropics or areas surrounded by flora, almost everything a soldier has is olive drab and khaki, in the splotched pattern. In the desert, the combination changes to a tan or sand color to blend in with the flat or dry terrain.
For years those were the only colors available. Today beginning with camo baby bedding, the selections are plentiful in pinks and blues as well as the traditional olive and khaki. Kids camo bedding trends toward the more traditional military colors, but is available in other shades, especially for girls. Teens have discovered the pattern in a variety of colors that remain true to the pattern.
With daybeds making a comeback there is even camouflage daybed bedding that teens love and grown-ups incorporate into rustic decor. Additionally, with higher quality linens available adults have discovered camo bedding and are now integrating it into the master bedroom, or using it as the decor of a mountain cabin.
